“Top Training Alghero”
Sports, technology and tourism
The “Top Training Alghero” project started from an idea of Simone Ripamonti , a graduate in Sport Science and Technique from the University of Rome. After an experience as a strength and conditioning coach in the football team of Real Madrid, he returned back to Sardinia with the goal to promote a project involving aspects concerning physical training and touristic valorisation of his motherland.
In the summer of 2009, he thought about a project, prelude to the actual “Top Training Alghero”.
At the beginning, the idea was to enrol young amateurs athletes interested in improving their athletic performance through a customized training. The intervention strategy based on the analyses of the technical-athletic qualities, acquired through an accurate evaluation of the physical parameters affecting the performance. Such proposal foresaw a local accommodation with the possibility to enjoy amusing activities in complete relaxation to prepare better for the next competitive season.
The involvement of Raffaele Noce, presently Marketing and Communication Project Manager, expert in Sport events, begun to outline more concrete “package” integrating sports and touristic incoming.
The establishment of “Area 3” A Human Motion Lab (www.areatre.net) in Porto Conte Ricerche, in October 2009 and following the meeting with its managing director Fulvio Stradijot, accomplished the framework. Area 3 takes care about all the aspects concerning human motion (sports, rehabilitation, injuries prevention and disability) under the bioengineering and clinical point of view supported with advanced devices, allowing to accomplish a project connecting sports and technology in a natural environment of absolute relief.
The final result is a “ package” where athletes can undergo a complete screening of their psycho-physical qualities in five areas: neuromuscular, physiological, psychological, efficiency conditioning field test and nutrition.
The project proposes to provide a high level support to the athletes for improving their performance, injury prevention and to monitor post-injury recovery.
Thus this idea is “A philosophy of technology applied to human motion analyses in a top class environment” . We believe that such proposal will be interesting not only for athletes but even for their surrounding world: sports clubs, sponsors, physicians, strength and conditioning coaches, physiotherapists and agents, in order to obtain useful objectives data for planning adequate intervention strategies.
